Accommodation at Tarraleah
In creating an internal design for this building, the owners were guided by its original layout. What were the school classrooms have now been converted into two level apartments with polished tasmanian oak stairs taking you up to the loft bedroom and a lounge area, TV, bathroom, and tea making facilities on the level below . The studio apartments look out over the village green and are only a short walk away from Teez café and The Highlander Arms.
Scholars House at Tarraleah offers guests a unique holiday destination, not least because of it’s proximity to Tasmania’s Lakes district and surrounding wilderness. Visitors will enjoy experiencing the history of the village and there are a range of activities available for those wanting the outdoor experience. Tarraleah also caters for the gourmet traveller and those wanting a relaxing spa retreat in the wilderness. Book in for a Hawaiian lomi massage next time you stay or a soak in the cliff top spa with a glass of bubbly and a friend.
Only a short amble across the green to the Highlander Arms, Scholars House is the perfect place to stay and explore Tasmania's highland lakes and wilderness.
Other accommodation at Tarraleah includes the restored Art deco Cottages and the 5 star Tarraleah Lodge.
